Land Rover Electric Vehicles
With the expansion towards electric vehicles in the automotive industry, Land Rover plans to have several new electric cars of its own by 2025. Land Rover plans to launch its first electric vehicle in 2024 and extend the lineup with five more by 2026. The brand hopes by 2030, all Land Rover Vehicles will either be electric or have the option of an electric powertrain.
The Land Rover has shown its potential for an electric SUV with its Defender All-Terrain Electric Prototype unveiled in 2013. The prototype showed that electrification has plenty of benefits for an off-road vehicle. The low-down weight of batteries and the immediate torque delivery of electric motors is indeed what hardcore crawlers desire.
Land Rover Electric Vehicle Lineup
Land Rover offers two plug-in hybrid vehicles in their electric vehicle lineup. You can find the Range Rover PHEV and the Range Rover Sport PHEV. Throughout the Range Rover PHEV’s you can find an intelligent plug-in hybrid display with integrated Touch Pro Duo and Interactive Driver Display. The Interactive Driver Display tells you how efficiently you’re driving and gives you real-time data about the electric motor and the conventional combustion engine.
When the Range Rover is in EV mode, the engine can deliver zero emissions on up to 51km drives. On longer journeys, both motors work together to produce imposing figures. The Range Rover Sport PHEV is our quietest vehicle yet, delivering a virtually silent drive-in electric vehicle mode and adding to the sense of serenity within the interior space.
